The English-language translation of the title of this book is 63 DAYS. That is how long the Warsaw Uprising lasted: From August 1, 1944 to October 2, 1944. (The Uprising had originally been scheduled to last only a few days. But the deliberate failure of the Red Army, parked on the outskirts of Warsaw, to advance and take Warsaw, caused the Uprising to be much prolonged and to end in military disaster).
This is a large book (33 cm long) which is chock-full of pictures, many of them greatly enlarged, from the Warsaw Uprising. There are pictures of such varied things as combat, propaganda posters, and everyday life. Something on the order of 2,000 photographs have survived from the Warsaw Uprising, and there is no doubt that a significant fraction of them have been reproduced in this book.
