Book Review: Awesome account of the Vietnam war...
Summary: 5 Stars
This is the book which took longer to write than the (American) Vietnam war took to fight... Sheehan clearly shows us, through the life of John Paul Vann, why the Americans were doomed from the beginning, how their policies could never work (because they rather relied on the South Vietnamese wanting to fight), and tells in graphic detail how it all went horribly and tragically wrong. Thoroughly recommended.
