Book Reviews of A Child Is BornBook Review: Simply the loveliest anatomy book out there Summary: 5 Stars
This is a perfect gift for new parents, or for those medical persons in your life. It shows the human body as few of us see it. The layout of this hardback book is gorgeous (do NOT get the paperback if it ever comes out). At $30, it's a bit pricey but a book you'll be delighted to have around the house on a coffee table.
Book Review: Sparked my imagination Summary: 5 Stars
This was my favorite book about pregnancy, along with Childbirth Without Fear, which helped me through the actual delivery.
I would sit each week when pregnant with my first child and look at the incredible (how did they TAKE this photo? you wonder) photos in this book, showing where he was in development. Some of the photos are so beautiful and ethereal they are practically tear-jerkers (OK, OK, so you're up to the top in hormones when you're pregnant, but still, they're wonderful even if you're not).
This was a present from a girlfriend who knows that I'm a bit analytical about the process going on inside my body, and it was one of the greatest gifts I received. Please give this to someone you know who is pregnant for the first time.
I would like to thank all of the brave women who agreed to have these photos taken, they were a blessing to me.
One thing - don't look at the delivery photos until you're really ready for it. They're pretty dramatic. My girlfriend shut down that chapter with a paper clip, and told me not to read it until I was nearing delivery myself, which I think was a very good idea.
Book Review: THE TITLE OF THIS BOOK IS THE BIGGEST LIE Summary: 1 Stars

Book Review: The Amazing Story of Life Summary: 5 Stars
We purchased the original version of this book over 35 years ago when we were pregnant with our first child. We just purchased 2 of the current copies for our eldest and youngest who are now both pregnant. They were just thrilled to receive this gift. Each young couple immediately went to the chapter in the book dedicated to their "week" of pregnancy. They were totally enthralled with the pictures and the descriptions of how their babies were developing within their bodies. This is the perfect gift from prospective grandparents to their children. It is also a wonderful book to have on any family's bookshelf!
