Book Review: A page-turning slice of gay PI drama!!!

Happily J.P. Bowie has more to share with his fans of the "A Portrait of ..." series. "A Deadly Deception" retains many of the core characters of the "Portrait" series, lovers Nick and Eric and Jeff and Peter, and gives us a chance to see what's been happening in their lives. It's nice to catch up with old friends. Gay couples that truly love each other and have longevity through good times and bad is a reality. It's enjoyable to be reminded that these kinds of relationships exist.
Nick's somewhat sordid crime investigation takes him from beautiful Southern California to hot and colorful New Orleans. You will enjoy his encounters with drag queen Lynn Oleum! If you like a mixture of who-dun-it with a gay perspective, you will enjoy this book. Oh, and yes, it does beg for a sequel. We're waiting!!!
