Every few years, when I find my interest in baseball waning, I go to the shelf and open this wonderful book. I've read it many times since it was first published, and I never fail to enjoy re-reading it. Jordan's story of a career that never was is the best sports book I've ever read and maybe the best book, period. I am glad it's being re-issued so others can savor it.
