Book Review: A light entertainment rather than a serious novel.
Summary: 2 Stars
This is a good entertaining but lightweight read. The scene is a holiday hotel in Greece. A whole series of colourful but rather thinly drawn characters are presented, who then get on with some fairly predictable interacting.The book shows signs of being written in a hurry. My favourite mis-paragraph appears on page 207:
"She is smiling steadily. A thin cotton dress clings to her still slightly damp body and shows the outline of a brief pair of knickers and a rather more substantial bra underneath. Her feet are bare."
The mind boggles.
