Book Reviews of A Potty for Me!: A Lift-the-Flap Instruction ManualBook Review: Our favorite "potty" book! Summary: 5 StarsWe have several books about "going potty," yet this one is by far my son's favorite. It's clear, gender-neutral, and cute and fun to read! It's been several months now since we first bought it, and my three-year old still requests to read it again and again.
Book Review: Annoying pages, but Excellent Book! We love it! Summary: 5 StarsI wish I could give this a similar rating like you can for some things, for durability etc. Because the pages ARE rather annoying the way they fold out, and its hard for little ones to use this book themselves and not bend it in all the wrong ways.. but...
For having a good story 5 stars definately!!! This little book is cute and happy and it rhymes and has lots of nice elements in it, all of the ups and downs of what a toddler must be thinking when they're trying to potty train.
And yes sometimes its negative... But kids need to know that the negative feelings they have about things is normal. It shouldn't be diminished or averted. It also shows that those negative feelings are not the end of the story! Thats how life is, gotta get the bad stuff out of the way first before you can get to the good stuff. Pretending negative feelings don't or shouldn't exhist doesn't help have happy endings. :)But by showing that negative feelings are normal and that we're going to try again and again anyways and eventually succeed is a spectacular thing to teach, and not just for potty training. ;)
Book Review: A great little story for future potty-ers! Summary: 5 StarsOur 15-month-old is in the early stages of potty interest, and this book has been great for reinforcing the logistics. The little rhymes are cute and catchy - if I have them memorized, I can only imagine that they are sticking with her. The illustrations are typically Katz-cute, and as a nice touch are gender-ambiguous, so this book would be great for either a little boy or girl.
Book Review: Naddy's Mommy Summary: 5 StarsThis is such a great book to introduce toddlers to potty training. My 2 year old wasn't really interested in trying until we got this book and now she's starting to sit on it more. She spends more time taking off her diaper than trying to go but the book is so well done, one of the best ones we have purchased so far. She's not trained yet but we are on our way!
Book Review: Very good Summary: 4 StarsI like this book, there are a few parts that seem confusing like 'this potty's not for me,' which when I read to my kids I say 'is this potty for me?"
Funny, when the part comes 'am i ready yet?" my kids say
"yes baby yes you're ready."
pretty cool. the book sticks to the topic, only the process of potty training and that's what I love. i got the dora potty book and really did not like it. this one's much much better
