Book Review: Man of destiny
Summary: 4 Stars
Owen Meany is a character you have to meet. Brilliantly drawn character all done without overplayed prose. I've just finished my second reading having seen it reviewed on amazon.com I rushed back for a fillup. Owen is indeed a man of destiny a true Calvinist. Some of the concepts at first seem so absurd, but you come to believe them and finish the book having been threaded through a world of new and rich characters that you don't want to end. A friend described not wishing to read the last 100 pages as he just didn't want it to stop. this book was a long forgotten friend that has had me reviewing my memory for other classics worth rereading.
