Book Review: Great book! Summary: 5 Stars
Every once in a while you read a book that you have to recommend to everyone you know. Move this book to the top of your list!
Book Review: Great twists - clever and inspirational Summary: 5 Stars
Prisoner of Birth offers a typically "Archer-esque" range of unexpected twists in an easy-to-digest, linear plot. Court scenes follow exhilarating clashes amongst legal heavyweights of the English system. One of Archer's best works. Highly recommended.
Book Review: Gripping from the start, this is a compelling read Summary: 4 Stars
Some reviews have compared it to 'Kane and Abel', one of his first novels - however although I have read a few of Archer's other books, I've not read that particular one so couldn't compare it. I just enjoyed the book for what it was - a well told story that maybe could be argued was slightly far-fetched at times...but it wasn't far-fetched enough to make me want to put it down.
The characters are either 'goodies' who are loyal, honest and likable or 'baddies' (I almost wanted to boo when they made an appearance!) who are cheats and liars.
A plot that is cleverly thought out and forces you to "just read one more page" until you realise you've read another 30!
Book Review: It'll set you free Summary: 5 Stars
This is just a rock solid murder mystery told in clear clean English with a comprehensive conclusion. The characters are genuine; the plot line plausable; and the dialog is crisp and witty. This is Archer at his best--and that's a high standard. If you don't love this book you should be arrested.
