A Question of Honor: The Kosciuszko Squadron: Forgotten Heroes of World War II by Lynne Olson, Stanley Cloud Summary and Reviews
Book Reviews of A Question of Honor: The Kosciuszko Squadron: Forgotten Heroes of World War IIBook Review: A Question Of Honor - the Kosciusko SquadronFor Christmas I gave "A Question of Honor - the Kosciusko Squadron" to my husband, an F-16 fighter pilot and avid student of WWII. Rarely have I seen him this moved by something he's read. It's a marvelously written, gut wrenching story that kept us from all other activities until we'd finished it. There isn't much we can do to change history, but we can at least honor the memory of these brave Polish airmen and soldiers by acknowledging (finally) that without their aid, the course of the war -- particularly the Battle of Britain -- may have gone in a very different direction. I had no idea the extent to which we are all very much in their debt. |
