The Telegraph's 'Stella' Magazine recently printed an excerpt from this book and I found it was excellent. Abigail Thomas flows with her writing like a journal of thoughts over the years. It is heart-wrenching and inspiring at the same time as you learn of how her life changed when her husband was seriously injured and suffered mentally in the aftermath.
What a beautiful statement of devotion she has to her husband as she tries to cope with his difficulties and expresses her disappointments but shows such a sweet love to him that she is somehow satisfied with how things have turned out for them both.
