A Violent Grace by Michael Card Summary and Reviews
Book Reviews of A Violent GraceBook Review: Talented Author and Musician
I was gifted with this small book by my in-laws one Christmas several years ago. Despite being 180+ pages, A Violent Grace is a super fast read. Each one of the 21 chapters begins with Scripture and ends with a prayer. Additionally, each chapter starts off with a picture depicting a scene from the life of Christ. The purpose of the book is to help you see the scene of the violent execution of the Jesus as well as the source of His limitless grace. He was born to die so we could be born to new life. He was wounded so we could be healed. His heart was pierced so our hearts could be made whole. We are made to be followers who lead by His example. Although A Violent Grace is endorsed by a couple of authors who I am not the biggest fans of, I do highly recommend Michael Card's book. |
