Book Reviews of A Walk to RememberBook Review: "Marvelous" Summary: 5 Stars
This is such a good book! I was just getting bored cuz I couldn't Harry Potter and I read this. I could barely let go of this book! I was about to cry towards the end, but couldn't since I was in a school bus, but then I decided it was impossible not to so I didn't read the book till later. This is the best book I've ever read. It was so intense, I'd rate a 10 if I could.
Book Review: 'A Walk to Remember' by NICHOLAS SPARKS Summary: 5 Stars
I didn't really know at first, which book I should choose and which book could be the best for me. So I went in the next bookshop and found there some books from Nicholas Sparks. I read the resume on the back which informed me that this story is about a 40-year old man looking back on his first and possibly deepest love he had ever had. This sounds very nice to me and so I decided to take this book `A Walk to Remember' for the reading project. As soon as I arrived at home I started reading this book and I was very impressed. I couldn't put this book down once I started to read it. When I was seventeen, my life changed forever. So begins `A Walk to Remember', the touching tale of Landon Carter, a typical teenage boy living in Beaufort, North Carolina, in 1958. He wants to spend as little time as possible in school and as much time as possible with his friends before going off to college. He's not likely, even in the small town of Beaufort, to cross paths with Jamie Sullivan, the Baptist minister's daughter who spends her lunch hour reading the Bible, her afternoons volunteering at an orphanage, and her summers at church camp. On the evening of Beaufort's annual Christmas pageant, Landon's and Jamie's lives are linked together, and Landon undergoes a change that will forever alter the course of his life. In the months that follows, he discovers the truths about the nature of beauty, the joy of giving, the pain of loss, and most of all, the power of love. I can't really say what part of the book I liked mostly because I liked every part. Every page is something special where you learn more about the story. As the book is written very simply I didn't have to read the book for a second time to understand the content. The author used also words I have already known and so I have had to use the dictionary very seldom. I really can say that I have never before read such a good book as this one. As I was so impressed about the content of the story I used the Internet to find out more about the author and his other books. Now as I know that Nicholas Sparks is the author of some of today's most memorable love stories. I will also read some of his other books like `A Bend in the Road', `The Notebook' or `Message in a Bottle'. Although this story is a wonderful little teen romance. I would not like to recommend it only to teenagers but also to adults. As Nicholas Sparks gives a remarkable love story in `A Walk to Remember', it will touch the hearts of readers everywhere. So I am convinced that everybody who is keen on love stories will also love this book.
Book Review: (Sigh) How romantic! Summary: 5 Stars
As a student of a high school with the shallowest boys ever encountered on the face of the earth (and I'm not kidding), I'm really fed up with the typical "She's hot, he's hot" antics that form the pathetic relationships in our school. This book proved to skeptics like me that there can be such a thing as a guy truly in love (hopefully) and that the opposite sex doesn't just fall for the best looking chick in the room. Boy meets girl, boy turns good, falls in love with good girl, not really a new plot, but very well told. I especially loved the Christmas play (why did they change that in the movie?!?) and the homecoming dance. Nicholas Sparks really knows how to write a wonderful love story (I mean the real love that lasts, not the one-night stand kind) and remains one of my favorite authors. The book is definitely better than the movie, probably because I don't like Shane West, but I don't see why they changed the book plot so much, because they pretty much ruined it.

Book Review: *mandaz review* Summary: 4 Stars
A Walk to Remember was one of the better books I have read. Usually, I tend to get bored with books, but this one kept my interest. Although it started out somewhat slow, the middle of the book kept me wanting to read more and more. A Walk to Remember tells the story of how one unpopular and "strange" girl completely changes the life of one rebellious, "cool" boy. When the boy falls in love with the girl, his whole life is changed for the better, but the girl hides a secret. This one secret greatly changes both of their lives forever. I would recommend this book to those who like to read sweet love stories. You'll finish it within a matter of a couple days - trust me!
