Landan Carter and Jamie Sullivan had nothing in common other than they shared the same high school. Jamie sits alone at lunch everyday, and always has her bible. Landan is on the school football team, and always acts out during Sunday Church. He never thought he would fall in love with this girl, until he did.
Landan asks Jamie to homecoming, which becomes a night spent in the school bathroom helping out intoxicated girls, unlike anything he had planned. He doesn't realize but as it each fall day creeps by, his feelings for Jamie become stronger than ever, until one day when she reveals to him a secret that may change him and his life forever.
This novel is one of the most amazing and powerful ones I've read. Sparks really grips your emotions and twists and turns them in all directions. You feel with the characters, and they stay with you forever. A story of bravery, love, and courage, I recommend A Walk to Remember to anyone who believes that true love never really does die.
