Book Reviews of A Wrinkle in Time (Madeleine L'Engle's Time Quintet)Book Review: A fulfilling and especially exciting novel... Summary: 5 Stars
For young readers around the world, I would reccommend this book to many. This book, itself, is exceptional because of how the author goes in depth into the minds of the characters, especially Meg, the dull, yet intelligent and delightful young woman. The main synopsis is that Meg, her brother and a friend incredibly travel through time to reach Meg's father, who dissappeared years ago. They encounter mind powerful villans, such as "IT" and there is always something that you can look forward to in the next chapter. The setting of the novel changes as the three travel in search of their mission and is wonderful to follow along to. You will find this book enjoying just as I did and I truely do believe that this is one book that you will enjoy.
Book Review: A good book Summary: 4 Stars
"It was a dark and stormy night," that's how A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L'Engle all begins. Meg, Charles Wallace, Calvin, and their good friends Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Who, are taken to many strange places throughout the galaxy. They are tessered, which is a transport through time and space. These three friends are being prepared for what they face on Camazotz, where Meg's dad is. Will they all serve IT, or will they save Mr. Murry? Read this book to find out.
This book I recommend, and it deserves a good rating. I recommend this book for ages 13 or over. The math is very complicated. I barely understood it. The younger kids might lose interest half- way through. A Wrinkle in Time, by me, gets 4 1/2 stars. The only two things that are wrong are Meg's clueless state, and impatience. Other then those, A Wrinkle in Time was a really good book. By Greg Fisher, age 13.
Book Review: An Amazing Read! Summary: 5 Stars
In a world where we constantly srive to better ourselves and the generations that follow us, this book stands out as being one that actually helps in this. The book stimulates young minds to understand some of the most complex and profound theories in the scientific field today. I remember reading this book in elementary school, very young, and loving it. I learned a lot from it, and what's more, I enjoyed it! A must read for any children, teens, and adults.
Book Review: An Excellent Little World Summary: 4 Stars
A Wrinkle in Time is the only book I have read that has the capability to bring me into a completely unique world and accurately describe it. Even the illustrations on some of the paperback versions have accurate depictions of the characters described in the book! :-)I do like the little extras that this book has to offer, such as a theory involving what goes beyond the third dimension, into the fourth dimension (that being time) and then to the fifth dimension, a wrinkle in time, or, as it's referred to in the book, a tesseract.
Book Review: An Exciting Fictional Story Summary: 5 Stars
When Meg and Charles Wallace are visited by an old lady, she tells them about a tesseract. She invites them to her house and when they go they meet her two friends. They do a thing called tessering and travel to a different planet. The kids find out that they have to save their father and the Earth. They go to a planet called Camozotz and have to fight the power of IT, a brain that controls life on Camozotz. I did like this book because of all the things that are going on, but be careful because some parts are hard to understand. Read the book to find out what happens. Hope you like it!!!
