Book Reviews of A Wrinkle in Time

Book Review: A Good Book
Summary: 5 Stars

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle is a well written book. There is plenty of suspense, action, and adventure. There is a wide variety of characters: beasts, witches, an over-sized brain, and regular humans, like us.

The story revolves around Meg and her brother, Charles Wallace, who are searching for their farther that has been locked in a prison while travelling through time. It's up to the children to find him and bring him back. Along the way they travel to different planets and dimensions.

The story shows the reader good versus evil. A good example is when Charles is getting lost in hypnosis by the over-sized brain. Meg tries to save her brother by using the one thing that the over-sized brain does not have: love.

The story begins "on a dark and stormy night" and ends where it began. If you like reading fantasy-science fiction, such as Harry Potter, the Chronicles of Narnia, and the Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy; then you'd like this book as well.

Book Review: A Good Book
Summary: 5 Stars

As an amazing adventure of science fiction and fantasy, I'm sure that this book was made to entertain people, and what a good job it does! You will not want to put this book down! This book has great description that will allow you to picture Calvin, Meg, and Charles Wallace flying through space. It helped me understand the dimensions that I did not understand before I read it!! I highly recommend this book and I encourage readers to read this.

Book Review: A Good and Bad Book
Summary: 3 Stars

This book is very hard to understand. It kind of jumps topics and doesn't really give alot of description. The ending could be longer and more descriptive about what happens. It is a good book because when it does focus on one topic it tells alot about it. And finally if you can understand everything it is a good book.

Book Review: A Great Book
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a great book, of course you would have to read the book to know.

Book Review: A Great Book!
Summary: 5 Stars

Hands down, this is the best book in the series. The others, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, and others that I can't remember the name of just aren't as good. For example, Calvin is not in one of them, and one is all about Meg's older brothers. I like the first book a lot. I've read it countless times, and even did an oral report on it for the "favorite book" project in sixth grade. It has a little bit of everything. If you like books at all, you will love A Wrinkle in Time.
