Massive, comprehensive, and thankfully not blinkered to CD-only releases unlike the now poor-relation Penguin Guide to Jazz on CD. An absolute goldmine of reviews, essays and charts, I find myself continually revelling in reading up on the albums and artists as I listen to the music. This book will enhance your listening pleasure enourmously - the cheapest upgrade you can get for your HiFi!Only the Rough Guide scores over it on one area: artists' biographies. The AMG is weak only here, whereas the others are simply weak in comparison.
