I have this book already. The cover is gone. The back pages are ripped but it is one of my favorite stories. I am 32 now and am reading it for the 100th time. :) And in the middle of reading about Sarah losing her library book, I thought of Amazon. You have it and 2 others about my favorite family!!! I plucked "All of a Kind Family" off the shelf when I was around 8. I read it and was delighted. I then checked out the rest. Even now, 11 years later, I like to read them. I learned more about the jewish holidays then in any other book. It's a story about a family of 5 girls and their parents. It goes through every day life of a poor jewish family. It does not push the jewish faith, which I found was very nice. Everyone should read it!Book Review: Never Judge A Book By It's Cover

When I first got this book, I didn't think it would be that great! The title sounded weird and the picture didn't grab my attention! Then I started to read it. I love this book! I think any girl would like this book! The story is about this family with five girls! They are all different ages, although they all play together. This book takes place in the early 1900's. When you first begin to read this book, you have to adjust your mind to that time period, because some things may seem different than life today like how they get a penny for allowance, and how they can buy a cup & saucer for 35 cents!
Every chapter is a different adventure! I can't put the book down! I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
Book Review: One of my best childhood memories!

This is one of my all-time childhood favorites. I simply loved this book and even after more than 30 years, I still have in my mind the imagery of these stories and the five sisters. Other than possibly Harriet The Spy, I can't think of a better book for elementary school readers.
