Book Review: Best book in the UK at the moment

This book is awesome. Anyone who has been lucky enough in the UK to watch the nutty yank in his series good eats will love this book. It lists the best (not most expensive, but best) gear for your kitchen, but with one very important element - it explains why via hardcore science! God it makes me laugh watching some cooks now and how they could do something faster or better, normally their just plain wrong though. Also the book will enable you to do far more with less tools, multi tasking is truely off the scale when it comes to Alton. There is also a section on how to clean your kitchen which is brilliant. But trust me on this, get this book and your kitchen will thank you and your food will taste awesome - why, becasue you've selected the right tool / material for the job. Youtube some of the series and watch a few, yep you got a nutty yank but the science is fantastic - its improved my cooking no end and I think he'd wipe the floor with our lot over here who are all too often swearing their heads off and doing their best to sell you rubbish and wrong goods to do a task. This book is truly something I would not want to be without!
