Summary: 4 Stars
First things first. Do NOT read this book if you have an active imagination and are likely to have bad nightmares. Do NOT read this book if you are in any way disgusted or horrified by violence. This book deserved all the hype it got in the American press. Both the good and the bad. Once you get over the violence (and believe you me it is very hard to get past it) and the highly detailed descriptions, you are likely to see that the American Psycho is a very cutting description of the mindlessness and nihilism of the times. This is quite an intriguing book... and the best thing was that the end did not leave me unsatisfied.(unlike many John Grisham novels!)
