Book Reviews of American Slacker

Book Review: An interesting trip into weirdness
Summary: 5 Stars

A strange story. An only slightly super-normal narrator transported through an exaggerated world of quasi-normal events stretched to their logical extreme. Can only be described in non-sequiturs.

You will be chuffed.

Book Review: Buy it, but not just because I'm in it
Summary: 5 Stars

Hi, I was the basis for the character Clancy, and yes, I was engaged to Joan, and yes, the Tank Shell Incident actually did happen.

Book Review: I really enjoyed Ameican Slacker
Summary: 5 Stars

I absolutely loved this book. There's quite a bit of violence, sex, drugs and strange religions, but it all fits very well into the plot line. The major characters are very well developed and could easily be translated into a mental image. The ancillary characters can be a little confusing if you try to keep track of them all, but as a fun read, it's great. The end is suprising as well as touching. This is the kind of book you want to read over and over again.

Book Review: My thoughts on American Slacker
Summary: 5 Stars

I read Mr. Ciscell's book and was pleasantly suprised. It can be shocking, sometimes disgusting, heartwarming and fun all together. His character developement is top shelf along with his storytelling. The ending makes it all worthwhile. I would recommend this book to those who like twists on plots and even fans of Stephen King's writings. Seriously, don't pass up this book.

Book Review: Suprisingly Good
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a very good read. I wasn't expecting much when I first picked the book up, but I was plesantly surprised.

Check this little humble novel out. If you like movies like Slacker, Clerks, or Fight Club, you'll dig this book. Great for slacker types of folks of all kinds!
