Book Review: A Masterful Portrait Of A Radiant Star

To me, Angelina Jolie is more than merely the most beautiful woman in the world, she's also a supremely talented actor whose film roles reflect an unparalleled artistry that, though as polished as any gem, is as effortless and as spontaneous as the glittering of the stars at night or the rising and setting of the moon. What makes "Portrait of a Superstar" stand out is the biography's moving narrative that offers the reader an outstanding, multidimensional portrait of Ms. Jolie as both star and actual person. In particular, accounts of the action and thriller films in which she's starred, such as "Alexander" made me think of how wonderful she'd be playing a role in a movie adaptation of books such as Threatcon Delta: Assault on the Pentagon by author David Alexander. I think one of the great strengths of this biography is the way it sparks such flights of fancy by the skill and majestic power of its spellbinding prose. In short, very highly recommended.
