Book Reviews of Anything GoesBook Review: John Barrowman is the best! Summary: 5 Stars
When I bought this book about John Barrowman I wasn't sure who he was...a singer, actor, entertainer, or comedian....well he is all of the above and more. Since my new found interest in Torchwood I would never think of anyone else playing his part. John is just a down to earth person who started out in Scotland and bloomed into a down to earth American. Good book and entertaining stories...prepare to laugh a lot.
Book Review: John Barrowman's "Anything Goes" Summary: 5 Stars
This is a very good book to read. There are some sad parts but other than that the book is good.
Book Review: The title says a lot Summary: 4 Stars
As a person curious about this young man who sings so well this book answers many questions. If one is a theater person the type of stories strike a chord. He is a bit coy, but this is a person who is now really a UK (vs. US) star and the book is written for that audience. But all is not gossip, however, as he relates a poignant story of a young woman who died and a tale of a situation where he and his lover might well have died. We can watch him now on BBC channel's Torchwood. It would be nice to have him performing music on this side of the Atlantic again.
Book Review: Who cares? Summary: 2 Stars
This autobiography makes him appear trite, petty and self-obsessed. Too bad since he's an enjoyable performer. Maybe that's all there is. By the end of the book, I thought, "Who cares?"
