Book Reviews of Artemis Fowl: The Opal DeceptionBook Review: Artemis Fowl "The Opal Deception" Summary: 3 StarsI enjoyed the book and it was a good buy but i felt a litle that the author, in reflection to the sucess of the other books, was desperatly trying to continue the series. i would of preffered the ending of the third book to be the ending of the series as it was a great ending and was different from the normal conclusions. but still a good read.
Book Review: The Deception Summary: 5 StarsEoin Colfer is an extremely talented author. All the previous Artemis Fowl books have gripped me, each with twists and imagination at every turn, the Original book pushed Colfer into the limelight - and thankfully, he has not turned back. "The Artic Incident" was more exciting than the first and "The Eternity Code" was one of my favourite books last year. Thus, I was delighted to find "The Opal Deception", and began reading asap. And it did not disappoint. From the moment it starts it oozes charm and imagination - the troll chapters are incredible. I have no trouble in saying this was a most enjoyable read.
Book Review: Colfer strikes again. Summary: 5 StarsThis book pretty much all Artemis fans were hoping for. A excellent plot, same characters (with some decent new ones),same amusing and well timed jokes (prehaps even better)and more gadgets. Fans will be thrilled. Be warned: If your starting the series for the first time dont read this book first. It could get extremely confusing for newcomers.
Book Review: Sheer brilliance Summary: 5 StarsAs with the other titles in this series, Eoin Colfer, has written another brilliant novel for lovers of fantasy fiction aged 9 to 90. The plot is easy to follow, but full of surprises. The main character, Artemis Fowl, is so real you can almost touch him. The drama and suspense have you panting to turn the next page. Two words sums up this book; sheer brilliance!
Book Review: Good but not mindblowing Summary: 4 StarsThe fourth Artemis Fowl book is what all us fans out there were waiting for from the moment we turned the last page. I really enjoyed the read and loved the stage by stage descriptions and how the plot engrossed you that u to felt like you were involved. However i felt that there may have been something missing as i got closer to the end. i thought the start was superb but the ending came to abruptly. I sort of felt like Colfer was some how holding back and failed to let us know the full story. I was a bit disappointed by this and so only gave the book 4 stars. I would like to see the 'crack team' back in action in the situation that they are left in at the end of the book.
