Book Review: surprisingly good

I was surprised: this writing is good, the story is engaging. Hawke offers a rich character study. Sure, I was expecting little from a movie star who gets a book deal, but I was very surprised. There is a lot of character in this book. Ethan can write. It's a fun, quirkly, yet introspective story.
Looking at the tastes of the positive and negative reviewers here, it seems that a lot of the negative reviewers are very angry men--I'd look at their other preferences before I took their advice. A few of them are "self-published" authors clearly jealous that someone they deem "not worthy" got a book deal and they couldn't. One in particular raves over violent slashers movies. One has to wonder why they even read such a book. Hmmm, maybe they didn't and just wanted to dis the movie star.
