Book Reviews of Ask & It Is GivenBook Review: A prolific writer with a lot to say Summary: 4 StarsEsther's books are built upon knowledge, and I do find the books useful and helpful. I have targetted this book as I have read Cosmic Ordering Guide by Stephen Richards, which I give the edge to over Esther's book. Manifesting your desrires can get clouded in too much technical detail, not that I am saying this book is like that, but for me it was harder to grasp what was within, perhaps because I'm still a learner.
Book Review: The concept behind this book is fascinating, but it is overly complicated and technical Summary: 3 StarsI had been looking for something, a book, that could give me guidance on how to live better. I have to say to say that when my work friend bought this book to work and told us all about it, I was gripped by the premise; basically the authors say that they're in contact with a number of good spirits, who channel their energies through one main spirit called Abraham. Abraham communicates guidance from the universe, and the authors write it down to share in their book. Similar to Neale Donald Walsch writings in 'Conversations with God.' In the book is advice from 'Abraham' on how to live, and how to deal with a number of life situations. On the whole it has a positive living message.
What I didnt like so much was that the book had a lot of jargon that I was totally unfamiliar with. Information on the science of 'personal vibrations' and 'frequencies' left me cold and I definately feel it will be a challenging read to an outsider.
Since then Ive read a book 'The Ultimate guide to Cosmic Ordering' by Andronicou that covers similar ground, and I have to recommend to anyone taking their first steps to life-betterment. Although you may find 'Ask and it is Given' a bit heavy going, the Abraham theme means its definately worth a look.
Book Review: This is The TRUTH Summary: 5 StarsThere is a truth, a law, like gravity is a law so is "The law of Attraction" One reviewer said there is "nothing new" in this book, darn right, the teaching is as old as the hills because it has been around forever, but we still need reminding, if we didn't we'd all be healthy happy millionaires in the perfect relationships etc etc! This learning has been in each and every one of us all along, we just didn't know it yet! "Ask and it is Given" tells us how to ask, and how to receive. I have read many self-help titles, tried dozens of techniques and attended countless seminars. My search has ended with "Abraham"(and now the fun has begun!)The teachings of Abraham are gentle, loving and irreverant. The book is detailed - yes - but so worth sticking with it, and indeed there is repetition, but one feels it is there just to make sure you "get it"! How badly you want to create your life with deliberation and joy depends on whether you will read this book to the end and read it over and again, or not. The tools for transforming your life are here, it felt like "the missing link" to me; the key to unlock everything I had ever learned before. It made sense of why I am where I am in life, and I know I can now create the life I choose. "Ask and it is Given" helped me understand why my acheiving goals in the past had been haphazard and that is was nothing at all to do with 'not deserving' either!
If you are committed to creating an effortless joyful life, choose to read this book and make its words your words, it's joy your joy, and its success your success! I wish you all the love in the world!
Book Review: Life-Changing and Refreshing to Read Summary: 5 StarsI have read so many books on this subject - for some reason I felt compelled to buy this one anyway. Now I know why. I will be buying a copy for everyone I am close to...this is a gift worth giving. It is fresh, fun, simple, and the repetition during the first part of the book means that the most important basic principles of Life sink in. My life began changing for the better the first day I began reading this book, and it hasn't stopped. By using only one of the 22 suggested "processes" in this book, I seem to be suddenly on a joyous roller coaster ride, and it gets better every day.
Be the instrument of changing someone's life for the better and give a copy of this book to someone (or multiple someones) for Christmas this year. This book is wonderful.
Book Review: excellant Summary: 5 StarsAs you will see from my reveiws i am well versed in self help and the like
having read classics like wattles and the richest man in babylon one thing that stands out is the law of attraction theme that runs through all
of them but what doesnt stand out is a way of easily applying it that is what this book does it is repetative so that it hammers home the message each lesson shows how you can use it to change your vibration to affect what happens in your life once you start to learn about this subject you will put it to good use dont be fooled into thinking that its just filling your head full of magic claptrap this stuff works as an example i will give one while working i was given the task of managing a night shift for two nights now i was really fearfull of doing a breakglass replacement because i had not done one and i had worked there 5 years
on the first night shift bang someone pushes it and runs of why because
all i had been doing for a week is fretting or in other words sending out a vibration that was matched
