Book Reviews of Avalon HighBook Review: Excellent Read Summary: 5 StarsThis is an excellent read and a wonderful example of Meg Cabot's fabulous talent for writing. It is an imaginitive combine of real life, like her past books, and fantasy where one young girls life becomes intwined with past kings, all in all a fantastic book. Bravo!
Book Review: Avalon high rocks!!! Summary: 4 StarsAvalon high is one of Meg Cabots wicked books, its a different kind of book from the ones i normally read, but its really interesting!.Its abut a girl called Elle and she has moved school and has already met a high school jock called Will, who feels as though he's known Elle all his life, but they've only just met! Somethings weird going on at it seem histories about to repeat itself!
Book Review: Great Fun Summary: 5 StarsI bought this book for my teenage daughter's birthday, and, after she had rattled her way through it at double quick pace, she demanded that I do so as well.(We like to share books!) A typical Meg Cabot read - ie one you can't put down until you reach the end. It's King Arthur in a US high school, but none the worse for being so. It might even tempt a few readers to find out a bit more about or even read the legends themselves. Great fun and a nicely worded ending - ahh!
Book Review: Avalon High - Best read ever! Summary: 5 StarsI bought Avalon High as a book to read at night, however, when I got home I began to read and couldnt put the book down. I didnt stop reading for about 3 hours and the only reason I had stopped reading was because I had finished reading it. I havent read such a good book in a long time. I usually read on fanfiction which is written by people all over the world. I would love another sequal or a similar book...I hope Meg Cabot will write one soon!!
love Ali
Book Review: 10 out of 10!!!!!! Summary: 5 StarsNo one could write a decent modern version of King Arthur. That is what I would have said before I read this book. It was sublime. Ellie Harrison couldn't believe how unlucky she was when her parents first told her they were going on sabbatical:How would you feel if you had just been told you had to move to a totally new state away from all your friends and then just as your finally settling in you have to move back to where you came from? At least this is how she feels until she meets Will. Things start to get weird though when Will mentions thinking that he knows her from another life and she soon discovers bonds which link between Cheerleader Jen, Jock Lance and trouble maker Marco too... Soon sabbaticals are the least of her worries when she's busy battling the forces of darkness.....
Full marks for entertainment while remaining accurate to the actual story of King Arthur. I reccommend this book to everyone who enjoys a good book because it has everything you could possibly want!!!!!!!
