Book Review: Highly Disappointed

Being half Italian, I am always on the look out for items to help me bring up my son bilingually and thought that this product would really help. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations, in fact, I found it totally inappropriate for children, with lyrics like "Come, come my little blonde girl, there is something that I want to tell you... Dear, if you only knew the pain that I have in my heart, you would give me kisses of love to console my pain." And "Oh little Teresa your mother asks you...if you want to get married...She wants to give you a young man in the band...I don't want him, no, no, no! 'Cause he'll make me play the trumpet all day..." (I'll leave that one up to your own imagination).
Bottom line, if you are of Italian origin and are trying to teach your child Italian, I don't think this is the thing for you. However, there seems to be quite a lengthy book included which, from what I can see, is aimed at people who only speak English and want to teach their child another language from a very early age - if that's you, go ahead and give it a try, but I can't imagine there are a lot of people out there who want to teach their children a language they can't actually speak themselves?!?
