This was my first Emily Griffin book and now it will not be the last. The book was very entertaining and made me cry and laugh. It really takes you through Claudia's journey as a person and her journey with love. You don't have to not want children to enjoy this book. I gave this a 5 star because Emily Griffin is my favorite author, but I would have to say this is my least favorite out of her three... I read them in order and I absolutely loved Something Barrowed...then I thought Something Blue was just as good... this one was harder to get into but, much easier for me than most books. It took me about a week to read which is a long time for her books. The other two I finished them in less than 2 days. But still a good read!Book Review: Pacing Problems

Baby Proof has a great plot and deep, likable characters. However, I feel the pacing was off. We drudge through the struggles of Claudia as she deals with being single, then race to a brief, happy ending. It's almost as if Giffin was afraid she was incapable of writing the happy ending well, so she just rushed through it. Though I was bothered by the pacing problems, I still enjoyed the book and would recommend it.
