Book Review: Almost one year in, BakeWise is a reference you should not bake without.
Summary: 4 Stars

I am going to keep this short. This book is a must for beginning bakers, and is a great way for more experenced bakers to take that next step up.

Do you want to know how leveners interact? Do you want to know why you can make the same recipe twice and end up with such different results? Read this book, the answer may be one and the same!

There are several 'best of' recipes here just out of the ones that I have tried. And there are literaly dozens of ideas and suggestions I have taken back into my own recipes and they have become better as a result.

I have to say that as great as CookWise was, BakeWise blows it's doors off.

The reason I am giving it 4/5 stars is that there can be information overload, and the index is only partially good at finding that tip you know you read, and need again, but just can not dig up in the giant knowledge transfer.

This may be one item that the Kindle's search function could be totaly worth the price of the book. There is just that much good stuff in there. But until someone lets me get one for review I will have to wait, and just stick with remembering as much of the good stuff as I can.

This Gal must be a walking encyclopedia in real life.
