Book Review: A Life Changing Journey Summary: 5 Stars
Within the dozens of Christian non-fiction books I have read, this book is at the top of the list as one of the most impactful tools yet. Inside its rich scriptural context we are exhorted to evaluate the many thought processes in which we allow our minds to fixate on, which in turn affect all actions in every detail of our lives.
The foundation is built on the Bible but on one verse in particular: Proverbs 23:7- "As a man thinks in his heart, so does he become". Therefore: we must "think about what we are thinking about" at all times. She discusses the many different negative conditions of the mind in which we find ourselves dealing with daily.
Moving forward, you see what it means to replace these negative thoughts into the mind of Christ & how it affects your life immediately. "Thoughts & words are containers or weapons for carrying creative or destructive power. They can be used against satan & his works or they can actually help him in his plan of destruction."
She then talks of "Wilderness Mentalities"; comparing our lives & thought processes to those of the Israelites. Everything the Israelites were thinking; therefore feeling, speaking and doing- was what caused them to be in the wilderness for forty years & can do the same for us.
Joyce Meyer continually and carefully wrapped her testimonies within scripture from the Bible. She presents herself in a comfortable yet undeniably exposed way. She is humble yet straight and leaves no question that nothing can be done without Jesus Christ & continued throughout the entire book to point towards Him. This book was life changing.

This is book will literally change your life as you develop the tools to defeat the enemy where he most likes to linger- in you mind.
