This book is food for the soul! I have grown from it and have recommended this book to several people I talk with who go through periodic bouts with depression. The content of this books is based on the truth regarding good vs. evil in our own minds. Summarily, we must all recognize that God is our source of light (good thoughts) and all else is darkness (negative thinking) in the war that takes place in our minds. Therefore, we must maintain our focus [in and] on the light. Joyce Meyer is a truly annointed woman of God who is blessed with the gift of keeping the word of God simple and plain and realistic so that we can see that there really is 'life in the word!Book Review: excellent, powerful and insightful book!

I began to read this book and I love it! I am half way through it and some of the things Joyce has said are real and work on my mind. I know this is something that will help me in my severe depression.Book Review: Powerful!

This book is one of the most powerful, life-changing books that I have ever read. I am "dissecting" it now for the second time this month to make sure that I didn't miss anything. My attitudes, moods and thoughts have changed dramatically. I've begun to think about what I'm thinking about and I'm not allowing Satan to use my brain for his playground. The great part about it is that it is also changing my husband, and two teenage sons, and they haven't even read it! Obviously it is my thoughts towards them and our circumstances that are changing and now our life together is much more peaceful and stress free! Thank you Joyce. I was working on a study format in order to teach this to the teenagers at church. I'm glad to see that the study guide will be coming out in June. She writes from what God has brought her through. This is more than just ideas which sound good but are hard to implement. They work. As God has given her victory, she has reached out to others in obedience to her Lord. This book helps in so many areas -- showing causes for our defeats, and solutions for victory. I'm buying another copy to loan out. It's only been a month, and things are a-changin'!Book Review: This book changed my life forever!!!!
