Book Reviews of Be Honest--You're Not That Into Him Either: Raise Your Standards and Reach for the Love You Deserve

Book Review: Are you a Booty call or the Real Thing in HIs Eyes?
Summary: 5 Stars

Does he roll over and start snoring or jump out of bed as soon as sex is over? Do you ever feel sad after sex or dissatisfied even if you've been "satisfied" if you know what I mean? You're Not That Into Him Either has some great things to say about how to decode his sexual signals and know what he really feels regardless of what he's saying. The chapter on orgasm-regret alone makes it worth the price. This book will really help me not fall into the trap of settling for just hooking when what I really want is to be in a relationship. Sometimes it's not easy to hear about the things we do, but the author is so genuinely respectful of women that it makes the book a delight.

Book Review: A Must-Read for Single Women...
Summary: 5 Stars

I picked up this book yesterday and couldn't put it down. I just wish it had come out sooner -- like when I started my downward spirial of dating guys that I wasn't that into when I graduated from college.

The book is easy-to-read and funny. Forget "The Rules." This book provides useful, non-preachy advice. For some funny reason, I felt like Dr. Kerner was cheering me on from the sidelines. Definitely worth buying. Don't judge this one by the picture on its cover....

Book Review: Finally, a book that puts women back in the driver's seat!
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was long overdue!

After countless degrading MANuals on how to find male attention, how to gauge male attention, how to keep male attention, FINALLY, a book that puts the focus back where it belongs: on knowing and getting what we want.

A subtle, yet revolutionary shift in the dynamics of dating and mating, I hope that Kerner's book allows us to stop expending wasted energy on getting what we don't want, so we can use our time to get what we deserve: Love, passion and respect.

Book Review: Shouldn't Be Compared to "He's Just Not That Into You"
Summary: 4 Stars

They're very different books, but go well together. The voices are completely different and where the authors of the first book focused on male behaviors and excuses, Ian Kerner focuses on female actions and why women end up lowering their standards and falling for guys who don't respect them. While the first book laid all the blame on men, this book really encourages women to see the role they play in their relationships, to understand patterns and break them. It's serious, but also funny too.

Book Review: Very Inspiring
Summary: 5 Stars

I pre-ordered this book and then read it one sitting. It is super-funny, but also very realistic and accurate. The author doesn't pander to women, or tell them the rules. But he does provide a friendly, smart shoulder to lean on. And the chapters on sex are amazing. Now I understand why women are living in a culture of casual sex, and why we're part of creating it. A very thoughtful, funny guide.
