Book Reviews of Be Honest--You're Not That Into Him Either: Raise Your Standards and Reach for the Love You DeserveBook Review: EVERY SINGLE WOMAN WHO HAS CASUAL SEX NEEDS TO READ THIS Summary: 5 StarsThis book is way better than it's counterpart. It is incredibley insightful into why single women have casual sex, their choices and why they make them, and how those decisions can affect us in the long run.
I am buying this book and giving all my girlfriends a copy of this book. It is a must for any intelligent woman who with or without a man is still FIERCE.
Ian Kerners' non-judgemental explanation of the cause and effects of casual sex and emotional ties as to why single women are also NOT that into him either is very realistic and honest.
Book Review: Only 4 Stars Not 5 Summary: 4 StarsBecause the author is a man and it seems really strange that both these books were written by men and where are the women to speak up for themselves. But I really liked the content and message, I just wish women didn't need men to tell them what to do. But the author makes a funny comment on this that women run the world, men just write books telling them how to date in it, so at least the author acknowledges the strangeness of the situation. I guess I shouldn't be so picky, the author can't help being a man, but now I'm raising my standards and will only read relationship books for women by women!
Book Review: I must be the only person living on Mars Summary: 4 StarsBut I didn't even know that this book was a response to another book. Now that I know I feel like a real space-alien, but I don't buy dating or relationship books. This was really my first. I bought it at the train station in Philadelphia on a cold winter day because the cover made me think of being sexy for the summer. I can't comment on this book's relation to the earlier book, but I will say that it's very sympathetic and heart-warming. One of the best chapter was a sweet one by the author's wife, and I hope she writes her own book one day. In the dating world, there is no wrong or right or black and white, and I admire the author for not offering sugar-coated rules. It's the real deal.
Book Review: I'm just not that into this book Summary: 3 StarsThe title of this dating guide is deceptive. This book is banking on the fame of the bestseller 'He's Just Not That Into You' which was a smashing success. The first book was original and funny, this novel is so-so. The only reason this novel has flown off the shelves is because its title misleads the reader. One of my friends sent me this book and although it does dole out some useful advice and fun dating lingo (i.e. the 'dating treadmill' and 'meantime guys')I'd say stick to the original 'He's just not that into you' and skip this doppelganger.
Book Review: great book - extremely entertaining and empowering Summary: 5 Starsi was so engrossed by this book that i stood in a bookstore and read it cover to cover. its a great entertaining read for all females out there - single or not. probably wouldnt hurt if men took a looksie themselves. haha..
