Greer Childers has written a funny and engaging book that serves to complement as well as update her famous Body Flex exercise tapes. She and her co-author have produced a book sure to delight the curious and, as Ms. Childers points out here and on her appearances on HSN, those of us frustrated with yo-yo diets and exercise regimens. But the real star of this book turns out to be simple oxygen. What it can do and why it is essential to the Body Flex routine is explained in detail, peppered frequently with supporting remarks from various M.D.'s and Ph.D.'s. The actual exercise instructions are clear and the routine--all 15 minutes of it---is simple. Childers also dispenses much nutritional advice, some of which will make some readers wonder at her claim that her regimen requires no diet. But that is a minor cavil in a book sure to delight and inspire. And for those of us used to entering rooms five minutes after our bellies, 15 minutes a day is a minor inconvenience.
