Book Review: Pretty good, but don't be misled...
Summary: 4 Stars
I've recently been getting into dressmaking and customising clothes. I found this book on Amazon and noticed it's probably one of the newest on the market for bead embellishing fabric and I tought it would be brilliant for what I'm about to get into.It provides plenty of tips to get started as well as quite a few stitching techniques and inspirational ideas, but nearly half of the book is of beaded arwork gallery from around the world, which is beautiful and really nice to look at but I feel is just used to fill up the pages where the authors could have filled them with more projects and beading techniques instead.
However, I love the winding path effect (as seen on the front cover) of which there are instructions in the book of how to do it and will no doubt be decorating some of my clothes with this.
Although I feel slightly disappointed by this book, I do believe it's a great book to get you started... I hope the authors someday bring out a next edition!
