Book Reviews of Because of Winn-DixieBook Review: Because Of Winn Dixie Summary: 5 Stars
Who let the dog in!!! Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof! This book is called Because of Winn Dixie. Winn Dixie is a dog. He is a trouble maker.
. The author of this book is Kate DiCamillo and the genre is realistic fiction. The setting is at a small town like at church, store, and at the library. Opal is a girl and she is ten and her mother left her alone with her dad. Opal has a dad. His name is the Preacher. In this book is that there are two bald headed boys that bully her.
My favorite part in the book was when Opal went to the Winn Dixie store, found the dog, and called it Winn Dixie. Also my favorite part was when the dog made a big mess in the store. He dropped the tomatos, cereal, and other stuff in the store and the manager got mad and Winn Dixie licked his face. Positive things about the book are that it reminds me of when I met my best friend and of stormy days. I would give these book 5 stars.

Book Review: Because of Winn-Dixie Summary: 5 Stars
"It's hard not to immediately fall in love with a dog who has a good sense of humor." Kate DiCamillo's adorable award winning novel centers around Opal and her new dog, Winn-Dixie. She has just moved to Naomi Florida, with her father, "the preacher." While shopping, she saves Winn-Dixie from the pound by insisting that the stray wreaking havoc in the store really belongs to her.
The novel is a lovable, entrancing tale, about the relationships children hold with adults and with animals. Opal adjusts to a new town, gains confidence and courage through her dog. Published by Candlewick Press in 2000, this wise and heartwarming tale will endear readers to Opal's welcoming first-person narrative. Enough courage, in fact, to ask her father about the mother who abandoned her years ago. During a party, Winn-Dixie runs off. Readers will stick to their chairs as they take a ride along with Opal, wondering if she will she ever find her dog, her place in her home, or acceptance of the mother who left her.
Book Review: Because of Winn-Dixie Summary: 5 Stars
I have to say that Kate DiCamillo is one of my favorite authors, children or adult. This makes it very easy to recommend any of her books. I send them to all of my nephews and neice because the stories are interesting and have a good moral without talking down to the reader.
The reviews I get from my niece and nephews, are always very positive. They actually love reading these books. Because of Winn-Dixie and The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane are the favorites, but all DiCamillo books are a big hit.

Because of Winn-Dixie is a very very good book. I love this book. I recommend it for everyone. I love it when Winn-Dixie smiles so much he sneezes. I love it. One example is when Opal just met Winn-Dixie. He smiled and sneezed.
Well first of all Winn-Dixie is a dog and what a special dog he is. Because Winn-Dixie can make you have friends. Even your enemies can become your friends. Like the Dewberry boys were enemies to Opal now they're friends.
The problem for Opal is that she can't find any friends. But when she finds Winn-Dixie her whole life changes. She gets so many friends and that's all...
