Book Review: A grand depiction of the last days

John MacArthur takes a crack at the Book of Revelation and does a marveously fine job. He analyzes the book from a dispensationalist / premillenist view, yet gives sufficient reasons for why he chose to review the book in this way (some to do with his own personal insights, scholarly analysis, as well as for practical reasons). He does a fine job in breaking everything down passage by passage, explaining the meaning behind them in relation to what's going on today.
The book as a whole is a grand read. It's almost like reading an epic like The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. It's a story of grand proportions, and it's crazy to fathom that something like this is most likely going to happen in the near future. Yet praise the Lord for He will destroy Satan and all evil in the most marvelous, earth shattering manner.
I highly recommend this book if you want to know what the book of Revelation is about in readable, highly deciphered format. It's a fun read, and it'll inspire you to long for Christ's return, as well as the setting up of the New Heaven and New Earth. It's one of MacArthur's best works.
