Book Reviews of Betty Crocker's Best Bread Machine Cookbook: The Goodness of Homemade Bread the Easy Way

Book Review: Betty Crocker's is the best.
Summary: 5 Stars

This was the first bread machine cookbook we bought...and so far the only one we need. My favorites so far...the raisin cinnamon, the blueberry/cranberry...which I have modified to make; cranberry, cranberry/walnut, and cherry/blueberry...all wonderful. Last week made the sticky bun recipe, but modified to use pecans...these rolls were OUTSTANDING. If you are looking for one bread machine book to buy...go for this one. We have a Breadman Ultimate Machine and I have had no trouble making wonderful eats with this cookbook.

Book Review: the Best of the Basics
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of the best basic bread machine cookbooks I have ever used. 90% of the recipes turn out just fine without any "tweaking". There is a nice variety of recipes with most of the ingredients you already have in your cupboard. An excellent first bread machine cookbook.

Book Review: A must have for anyone with a bread machine
Summary: 5 Stars

I've used a bread machine for the past 5 years (2 actually I wore out the first). This cookbook has a wonderful format and a nice variety of breads and rolls to choose from. It has become my favorite gift to give friends who have bread machines. One thing that I do that give better texture is to use the dough cycle on my machine and bake it in a regular oven. That way I get a regular sized loaf with a nice soft crust.

Book Review: Not So Tasty
Summary: 2 Stars

I have tried a half dozen recipes from this book so far and I've liked only one of them (Sally Lunn). The pictures are beautiful, the spiral binding is great but the recipes I've tried are mediocre. Maybe it's just me or my machine (Breadman), but recipes from my other cookbooks tend to taste better.

Book Review: very good
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this book when I bought my bread machine. I really love the variety of recipes in this book. I have tried two recipes already that are really very easy to make and easy to follow. I also like the feature that it has a spiral binding and lies flat!
