Book Review: QUICK TRIP TO OVERTRAINING!!!
Summary: 1 Stars

UNLESS YOURE ON STERIODS THIS WILL NOT WORK!!! Come on this guy wants you to believe that your body with recover from a workout in just a few hours? He advocates working out sometimes twice a day 6 days a week? How will your body ever grow if you are spending so much time in the gym? You body WILL NEVER recover from a workout like this unless you are on ROIDS period! If you muscles could fully recover from a workout in 3 hours, then wouldnt you be stronger just 3 hours after you left the gym? If that were true, then you could lift about 6 times per day and wake up the next morning bench pressing 100 lbs more than you did the day before. Come on get real. This book should be called "BIG BEYOND BELIEF IF YOU TAKE STERIODS LIKE ME" No natural bodybuilder will ever make progress on this program so dont waste your time.

Book Review: Serious Growth Works
Summary: 5 Stars

I have tried this system back in 1992. Yeah thats quite a while ago, it was shortly after it started coming out. Let me say it worked great. I was 23 at the time and it was just a great year i went from 170 to 220 in about 6 months. After a few months every workout I was setting a new pr. I had closed grip bench 275 15 reps, 315 bench 12 reps, barbell rows 315 for 5, squatted 405 3 reps. Now I see some guys on here say it doesnt work. Well you gotta eat!!!!! 6 meals a day... 3 meals and 3 shakes you have to nourish and that the bottom line. A great routine and all the science is not gonna help if your not eating as intensely as you train. Some claim they eat good but when you hear what theyre are eating its a joke. So get that on track and put this routine to work. My lifestyle now allows me to train 6 days a week so thats what Im gonna start with and I can afford to eat right too. Training correctly and eating right does cost money but its worth it when you see your training takes off. Im starting this routine again and looking forward to new levels of growth and strength. Also I have never met any of these guys that wrote this book and dont receive any compensation for my review, Im just relaying my experience - 2/24/11. In a few months Im going to follow up this review with new results

Book Review: Simple and effective
Summary: 5 Stars

I have started following the training program of this book and after just 3 weeks I see that I feel stronger and more motivated. I try to eat as much protein as possible to get the best results from the program. I want to see whether the "great fourth week" will be the one in which I will really gain some real muscle.
In my opinion, this book is essentially for people who train since years and got stuck into a phase in which they lift up much but they couldn't gain muscle. Not really for beginners.

Book Review: THE BEST BODYBUILDING BOOK I'VE BOUGHT IN MONTHS!
Summary: 5 Stars

Bear with me. This review is gonna be sort of long. First and foremost I didn't buy the paperback version of this book. I got a digital download yesterday at http://www.bigbeyondbelief.com after reading so many glowing reviews about it. Thank you Amazon.com for allowing product reviews! I had started not to buy the Big Beyond Relief ebook after seeing a 2 star review on one of the muscle program reviews web site. I'm glad I didn't listen to those folks. Big Beyond Belief in my opinion is better than some of those other 5 star rated body building ebook programs. I know. I've got most of them and paid $30 to $100 for them! I only paid about $20 for the Big Beyond Relief program download and got a bonus I won't discuss here that could help me improve my figure as well. None. I repeat. None of the other body building books I've got (digital or paperback) gave me any actual workout plans on how to cycle my exercise sets and repetitions like Big Beyond Belief.

Do yourself a favor. Don't fall for the programs (bodybuilding or exercise) that claim you can get it all together in 12 weeks. Hogwash! Maybe those who have a perfect looking body to begin with, along with the genetic freaks and those taking steroids and pro-horomones. No pun intended. I'm still trying to get it all together after 18 months! I read a review on this site where someone complained about the 6 day a week workout plan in Big Beyond Belief. There are two. There's a once a day 6 day a week workout, and a twice a day 6 day a week workout. There's also a once a day, 4 day a week workout plan which I intend on following with an additional day for cardio only and two days off per week. That will suit my needs and schedule fine. It's up to you to decide which workout plan works best for you if you're following the Big Beyond Relief program or any other.

A total body weight lifting workout can be performed in as little as 2 days using the Big Beyond Belief program! But to get better and quicker results, I think a minimum of 4 workout days per week should be performed according to the Level 1 workout phases and cycles. I intend on taking a recovery week off between weeks 10 and 12 on the program. Leo didn't state that you had to complete the Level 1 training without taking at least one week off for recovery. By all means use common sense. Level 1 runs for 4 1/2 months. I'll continue the 18 week workout cycle from where I need to complete it after my recovery week. The author suggests completing Level 1 training before beginning Level 2. Level 2 training is to last from 2 to 3 weeks maximum per application. Leo warns that training past 3 weeks within the Level 2 training can lead to burnout and overtraining. This phase of the training can be repeated further down the road. I like the way the authors of Big Beyond Belief mix up the reps and sets during the different cycles and phases of the program. It's basically called periodization. For those who may not know or are new to weight lifting. Simply put. Periodization is where you alternate between light, moderate and heavy weights, use low, moderate or high reps during a given exercise(s) or workout day(s). All of that is spelled out clearly in the Big Beyond Belief program, when to increase or decrease the exercise sets and reps. There are no exercise pictures or instructions in my digital copy of the Big Beyond Belief book. That's no problem for me. You can get weight lifting pictures, exercise demonstrations and instructions for free on the internet if you need them.

There's also the hyperphase and critical mass programs one can follow using the Big Beyond Belief program. Don't ask me to explain them. Suffice it to say that these programs are brutal. I can tell from reading the program! I don't think I'll start the hyperphase and the critical mass programs until I finish my level 2 training. The hyperphase program lasts for six days. The critical mass program runs for 10 days. I don't think I'll be doing those two programs back to back. The choice is yours. Be forewarned that you'll be working your butt off big time using the hyperphase or critical mass programs. I read a post yesterday on the Amazon site where one reviewer complained about not having any directions for the instinctive training phase of the Big Beyond Belief program. The hyperphase and critical mass programs will provide anyone with more than enough instinctive, or advanced instinctive weight lifting exercise selections, sets and repetition ideas.

I don't understand or care much about the scientific aspects of bodybuilding. Big Beyond Belief does professionally address those issues. I just wanted a body sculpting program that I could use that would help me to look my genetic best. I believe that following the Big Beyond Belief program will do just that! I've got that much confidence in this program simply from reading the workout layouts! I'll be starting it on Monday 11/19/07. So if you want to shape up, firm up, lose weight, build muscle, get Big Beyond Belief. Implementing this program will take care of all that and then some. Be sure to eat plenty unless you want to be skinny. I'll take the thick, solid, well toned body over the skinny, thin emaciated looking body any day. And for those who are who are fighting skinny genetics like myself (ectomorph). Like one guy put it: "You gotta eat big to get big." Some say you gotta lift big to get big. There may be some truth to that. But we all know people who are big who don't lift weights. I'm sure I'll be posting some more good reviews about the Big Beyond Belief program next year. Hope this helps somebody.

Book Review: The Best I Have Found
Summary: 5 Stars

This book is the best that I have found on the subject of getting big and strong. I was in the Army as an infantry soldier and after just a couple of months doing one of the "ramps" I gained approx 15 pounds even with the requisite Army aerobic workout every morning. I was huge -- people in the gym and in my Company accused me of taking steroids I was getting so big so fast. I had previously done several other college football weightlifting workouts with little success -- this is certainly the best -- and it covers a bunch of other related stuff, too. Lastly, workouts only last 45 minutes -- the book explains why -- I haven't lifted in a few years and have since lost this book to a friend, but I have no problems shelling out 49 bucks for this. It's definitely worth at least that. I know that in a few months, I will be a monster again. I don't typically write reviews for books but this one is so good, I had to.
