Unexplained tiny footprints, ancient fossils, secret doors, a family mystery: this is the highly unusual story of Billy, age nine. Billy lives with his eccentric, loving grandmother, who, Billy explains on page one, welded their basement door closed when he was four. Beyond that door is an adventure and a puzzle that this clever boy must decipher one curious clue at a time. This is an entertaining read and nothing if not inventive.
