Book Reviews of Blood and Chocolate

Book Review: "Blood and Chocolate" Great name!
Summary: 4 Stars

This book was awesome. I would actually rate it 4 1/2 stars but I cant. This book is really weird though. You really have to pay attention b/c there are a lot of characters. It is so awesome and the end is so suprising!

Book Review: "Wolf" Side Story
Summary: 5 Stars

If they remade "West Side Story" with werewolves, this would be the roller-coaster result. Vivien is a loup-garoux and proud of it. Aiden is a human, or "meat-boy" as Vivien's pack calls him. She yearns for him as much as she yearns for life as a "normal" teenager, but that will never be the case as long as loyalty and blood bind her to her tumultuous pack, now in search of a new leader. And just when she thinks things couldn't get any more complicated, a series of mysterious murders in her hometown seems the work one of Vivien's fellow wolfpeople...or even Vivien herself.

Klause writes with a ferocious sensuality and beauty as she chronicles Vivien's struggle to balance her feral wolf-nature with her gentle love for Aiden. The author's descriptions of the thrills and longings of first love are dead-on, and when Vivien "changes" under the full moon...well, let's just say you'll never wonder again how it feels to shapeshift (assuming you ever wondered in the first place). Along with being a riveting read, Blood and Chocolate relates a positive message about loving yourself just as you are AND understanding that the person you want might not necessarily be the person you need. Warning: I would recommend this for mostly older teens.

Book Review: "Blood and Chocolate?" More like Werewolf slut
Summary: 1 Stars

This book has no plot whatsoever. The entire novel is about who the girl should have sex with, a werewolf like her or a human. This book is awful! Half the time she licking and slobbering all over some guy or some werewolf, the vice-a-versa applies too. The book is little more than the repeated scenes and questions of who can I mate with and when? I would not advise this book to anyone. The main character is little more than an attractive whore and the book is nothing but scenes about sex and slobber. AWFUL! Don't read this book! It's ridiculous!

Book Review: A Fun Read
Summary: 4 Stars

Don't be fooled by the first page. There is more to this book than boys and "catfights." The name Gabriel is purely a biblical reference. The name Aiden means "fire". I'll leave you to think about those metaphors. While you're at it, don't forget thunder, the moon, the pentagram, and animals. At the end, Klause does have a message about humanity, clearly stated by Gabriel.
Nevertheless, if you do take it at face value, it's still a fun read. It's suspenseful, seductive, and well tied together at the end. You'll be pulled through.

Book Review: A Great Read
Summary: 5 Stars

I really like this book. This is the werewolf book that got me interested in this type of fiction. It has a great ending, and it was not predicable. I definitely like the book over the movie, which are really different. If your teacher wants you to write a review over any fiction book, don't pick this one and watch the movie instead. It won't work.

It starts off at a moderate pace, and it picks up speed as the story goes and toward the end it flys. Like I said the ending was great and well-rounded, although, at times, I do find myself wishing that there was a sequel.
