Book Reviews of Blood and ChocolateBook Review: Blood and Chocolate Summary: 3 Stars
The book is about a young girl who also happens to be a werewolf. Although it is well written I would not recommend it for teenagers for the following reasons: violence, sex and the use of alcohol by 16 year olds.
The book is definitely not to everyone's taste and it is clearly not my choice of a 'good read' in fact quite the opposite I find it offensive.
Book Review: Blood and Chocolate Summary: 4 Stars
The book was a quick and easy read. Completely different from the movie, but very enjoyable.
Book Review: Blood and Chocolate Summary: 4 Stars
The first thing that caught me about this story is the name. Something that is as sweet as chocolate and as bitter as blood. The story revolves around this female werewolf, which loves the wildness in herself. She falls in love with a regular human guy, but there is something going wrong every time she wakes in the morning. In my opinion it is a book that really makes you think. It is beautifully written and has get descriptions. I completely recommend it to anyone who loves the supernatural of werewolves.
Book Review: Blood and Chocolate Summary: 4 Stars
I found this book to be highly captivating. I couldn't put it down!! The Werewolf falling in love with a human is not a new concept. However I feel that the problems Vivian goes through are ones that many teens can relate to. Falling in love, deciding what to do, not knowing fully where one fits in, these are all decisions that one has to face. The story is fast moving, with great description, it keeps one guessing what is going to happen next. This book brings out ones own imagination. I think kids would love to read it! Grades 8 and up.
Book Review: Blood and Chocolate Summary: 4 Stars
I thought that Blood and Chocolate was an entertaining book for an older reader. This book is written at right around the 6th grade reading level, but I think its' content is more appropriate for an older audience. I read this book for a college course and there were times when sleep was hard to come by. There are very graphic, gruesome scences along with a mature sexual storyline. I admit to being somewhat of a chicken when it comes to scary stories, but I think I had the right to be scared reading this. I think that for an older reader it would be a delightful easy-read to let your imagination take over.
