I would recommend this book as an excellent read. It`s highly gripping from beginning to end, and takes the reader intimately through a myriad of emotions as the author speaks personally of his life and transition from that of a hardcore gangster to a mature, enlightened man seeking to reach all 'lost' youth that are being lured into a 'falsely' attractive gang lifestyle.
The beauty is that even if we are not involved in gangs or have never been to prison the essence of the book can still teach us that there is hope for us within any dark situation if we are just able to become for one moment introspective, willing to change and are up to challenging are own inner prejudices, narrow-mindedness and selfish pursuits. It`s selflessness at the core of this book. I give it 10 out of 10.
