Book Review: Fantastic Slo Blues Tutorial
Summary: 5 Stars

I've got to hand it to Chris Hunt. He knows how to make a buck in the music business by putting out compelling product. In this book you have a step by step or bar by bar approach to teaching slow 12 bar blues. The caveat being the licks are cherry picked and sound as tho they were gleaned from Robben Ford's blues vocabulary. I ordered this on a lark half thinking it would be mediocre to horrible but man was I wrong ! The only improvement to this tutorial I can think of would be to change up the tempo's on the music minus me tracks vs changing the keys but then nothing's perfect and transposing this vocabulary to other keys isn't a half bad idea. This is the best slow blues tutorial I've come across. You can learn alot just by studying the notation and listening to the CD. I came across one printing mistake in the tab for example 13(one of the showcase licks). The 2nd to last note in the 1st bar of this riff is a g but tabbed out as a c. It's correct in the notation but should be played on the 4th string 5th fret, not the 3rd string 5th fret as it states in my edition. Definitely buy this !

Book Review: Good book with nice tracks
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a real good practical book that not only give you the riffs but also why and when to use it. It is not the beginner
book that tell you what is banding and hammer-on nor pentatonic scale, but it tell you how to analyse licks and best bar to put in (that many licks book does't!), therefore, it may make your old licks book more meaningful! After all the 12 bar riffs, you also get the complete demo solo track that show you how to plug the examples in. furthermore, you get some jam track on key G, A and E in different progression, so you can use it on your preference key. I only have problem with this tracks is the tempo, is a bit too slow, but I solved this by speed it up
with the cakewalk software.Another credit is the progression on the jam tracks is very clear, so can follow much easier!

Book Review: Good riffs to incorporate
Summary: 4 Stars

Good book. You must have prior playing experience or some of it won't make sense. Overall, a good learning tool for a player trying to understand the blues.

Book Review: Great Blues Book with Solid Riffs!
Summary: 5 Stars

This one is great! Unlike many blues books that contain things you would never play and that you never hear anyone else play, this book is filled with interesting, catchy riffs that sound like your favorite blues artist is layin' it down. Of all the "blues riff" books I have bought (probably 20), this is the one that has helped my lead playing the most. It is simple, direct, and filled with good licks. Buy it and don't look back!
