Book Review: An excellent beginning to the second trilogy
Summary: 5 Stars
Reviewing this is difficult without any spoilers but I'll try. After the nomintation for the '95 Eisner Award for the storm sequence in Eyes Of The Storm (book three of the first trilogy) Smith's artwork remains a treat for the eyes throughout. We see a progression of the relationship between Thorn and Fone Bone. The light comical air of the first trilogy is still there but now we enter a darker phase of the story as Thorn learns more about her mysterious past. We see an introduction of a new character (a loveable one at that) and learn more about the Lord of the Locusts plans. This is a beautiful book and I'm not ashamed to say that it does manage to stir the odd emotion in me. The price amazon is asking is unbelieveably cheap and I would be amazed if you could find it anywhere cheaper. BUY THIS BOOK.
