It's George Carlin, Nuff said. A must for folk who enjoy sarcasm and dark humor! John Crippen, Photographer and Writer
Book Review: Carlin's droppings Summary: 5 Stars
Very funny book at times a little crass, but if you know George you'd understand. Still great as far as I'm concerned.
Book Review: Classic GC Summary: 5 Stars
I am a huge GC fan and this book did not disappoint. This book contains a lot of "brain droppings" which are typically 5 to 15 words and range between funny, thought-provoking to even down-right disgusting, these were my favorite parts of the book. If you have never been exposed to Carlin, be warned, its not for those who are easily offended, as he has no problem attacking many taboo subjects, along with his strong grasp of the English language, he was by far one of the greatest comedians to ever live!
Why are there no recreational drugs taken in suppository form?
Book Review: Disapointed Summary: 1 Stars
I read Last Words and I really liked it so I bought Brain Droppings. I found this book to be very mean-spirited. George's personality doesn't come through in the book like it does in person. Brain Droppings seems to be a list of his notes on what he might put into his live act. If I had to guess his book was written to pay his huge tax bill.
Book Review: Even better in print Summary: 5 Stars
I almost enjoy Carlin's books more than his stand up routine b/c you really have time to analyze the points he's making. Anyone who doesn't find great humor in this book is either reading below a 5th grade level, or, they are in such blissful denial of society's problems that they make you even more grateful for great skeptics like Carlin.
