Book Review: Brilliant ! Summary: 5 StarsThis book is undoubtedly THE best book I have ever read. Andy McNab goes into unbelievable detail describing the mission, the escape attempt, the capture and subsequent torture by Iraqi soldiers. The whole story is full of action, excitement, and despair. The last chapter in particular is quite emotional. It is quite a long book but it never gets boring - you won't want to put it down. If you only ever buy one book in your life make sure this is it.
Book Review: Compelling reading from go to wo! Summary: 5 StarsAs an avid reader of the exploits of special forces throughout the world, I found this one an absolutely brilliant read, second only to "About Face" (the biography of Colonel David Hackworth - US Army - retired). McNab's recount of B2Z's epic struggle against all odds made me late for work and not answer my phone for two days. I finished the book and went straight back to the start and read it again. I recently purchased a new copy and read it for a third time, after my original copy returned from a "trip around the globe" with various people who had borrowed it and lent it on to someone else, in "**** state" as Andy would put it. It goes to show that your name and address on the inside cover is a worthwhile addition. It had gone around Australia, across to the UK and back again 22 months later. The British SAS have shown the world once again that they are still the best of the best!
