Book Review: A sobering glance at the nature of man Summary: 4 StarsBravo Two Zero was the first 'SAS' book to be spawned from the Gulf War. Whether you are a military enthusiast, a philosopher or just a worldly reader this book has something to offer. Set in the bizarrely boistrous world of the worlds finest special forces regiment, the reader is taken on an adventure which defies normal human imagination. We experience feats of human endurance set on a scale that many people will never encounter. On the surface, Bravo Two Zero provides an enlightening story, but we can read much deeper into the portrayed reality. Andy McNab, through his narration exposes the very sentiments lying at his own core. He experiences emotions which he cannot justify. Andy McNab unknowingly reveals some of the basic truths of human nature, from which some of us can draw some extraordinary concepts on the construction of the military psychology. This book is a tale phenominal proportions. Read, digest and learn.
Book Review: Love it, couldn't put it down. Summary: 5 StarsKeeps you in suspence all the time , exciting makes you feel like your there.
Book Review: Just read the book Summary: 5 StarsWell what can i say, an excellant book just proving the point that these men are just human like the rest of us. But the question has be asked, Has McNab started a trend that all SAS (badged or not) just giving away too many secrets on how the SF work? i think so. Yes, after being in the Army you leave with hardly any skills you can use in normal life, but then telling the world on how you operate! i don't think so. There is very little we don't know about the SAS these days. And if you don't, your local branch of WH Smiths will be very helpfull. Comments please.
Book Review: Simply the best Summary: 5 StarsThis, McNab's first piece of work is the best account of SF at work that I've ever read, (and I've read a few). The story tells us of the mission that will remain in the SAS hall of fame for ever. It is also a humbling story that makes you realise that under all of the super human endurance lies a real person just like any other, only mentally and physically tougher. Bravo Two Zero is a must read for any military fan.
