Book Review: The CORRECT end
Summary: 4 Stars
I brought breaking dawn this morning but I cheated and read the spoilers on the net!
Some of the spoilers I read I was shocked by and hoped they were not true - Jack and Nessie urgh it just seemed wrong!
I was almost ready to feel disapointed by the book but you know what I was pleasantly suprised.(the Jake/Nessie thing is not what I excpected, when I read the spoiler I was thinkin err creepy but it doesn't come across that way at all)Yes I was ready to feel disapointed but I wasn't, I laughed, I cried, I felt my heart race a time or two...
I think the problem here is that twilight fans are so obsessive (not saying thats a bad thing) but they had their ideas on how they wanted the seris to end and becuase it hasn't ended that way they post bad reviews.
I really think a distinction needs to be made about how the seris ended and how fans wanted it to end.
Personally I would have been happy to just have a resolution on the immortality issue for Bella and prehaps a Leah/Jake hook up. And I had my hopes and expectations, SM did not match my hopes but that does not mean the story is bad.
I think she gave us a lot more than expected and just because it wasn't what we expected does not mean it is no good.
Yes it felt a little rushed at times, yes I wanted a better confrontation with the Volturi, yes some parts were a bit weird but I think SM has ended the story how she saw it and we can only congratulate her for that.
The books are her vision, she is the writer and she should follow her own heart not cave to the demands of fans, she was brave I think to add some parts - but a writer should be brave.
I mean think about it this woman has written 4 BOOKS in the twilight seris in what 4 years, and an adult novel - geez she works hard!
So 4 stars in my review, and gee what am I gonna read now...
